Red velvet is not just for Santa and Mrs Claus. These stretchy red velvet jeans are perfect for the holiday season and are easy to dress up or down, as I like to do, and the stretch is ideal for those big family meals we’re about to get into. Nothing adds a little edge to a proper outfit like a baker boy hat and some denim and this time it is not a denim jacket that I used to add that edge. Another piece from Australian clothing line Delphine, this denim top has some weight to it so its an appropriate off shoulder top for the season. My addiction to the sock boot this fall is undeniable, it was necessary to find something to replace the ubiquitous over the knee boot from the last several years and I believe the sock bootie is it! I have another pair in nude on order since I’m sure most of you are getting bored of my red ones that I have been wearing constantly!
I woke up to the news that Charles Manson has finally left this earth. I have been a true crime fan for many years and the Manson crimes were one of my most obsessed over cases. I read every book and saw every movie I could find on the topic, I know more about his crimes than I probably should. I even went on a Mason murder tour with my husband (it was a gift) I have friends that lived a few doors down from where the La Bianca’s were murdered and couldn’t help but nose around. As much of an enigma as he was I don’t think Charles Manson will be missed.
Hope you have a Happy Monday it is a short work week after all! xo ~Zia
