What a spectacular year! On every level 2014 was indeed epic: personally, professionally, creatively and most definitely fashionably. Two thousand fourteen will definitely be remembered for so many accomplishments, starting with my career: I booked three jobs which is usually my goal each year not always attained but this time I got there. We finally got our home remodeled it was hell but the outcome is so beautiful and it was ready just in time for us to host my husband’s family for Christmas. It was a year full of travel: Europe, Canada, the Caribbean and even all the short weekend trips to Ojai, Morro Bay, Coronado and Scottsdale are so full of wonderful, unforgettable moments! It is this blog of mine, however, that I am most proud of. Aside from being featured in the pages of Redbook Magazine and chosen by the editors at Lucky as their look of the day, it’s connecting with my readers that I am so thankful for. I have never been one to keep a diary but this blog has become a journal of sorts for me where I catalogue not only my outfits but also my thoughts and journeys through this wonderful adventure. I have always loved clothes and after a failed attempt at owning a clothing boutique I was thrilled to find another way to keep myself involved in the world of fashion. I am so grateful to everyone who supports, visits and comments on my posts you motivate me to do this regularly and passionately. I love blogging even though it keeps me up late at night and drives my family crazy… so from deep inside my soul I thank you and look forward to everything this new year brings!
Happy New Year, love Zia
Special thanks to my amazing photographers, without you this blog wouldn’t exist: Steven Gibbs, Shannon Cottrell, Dexter Brown and my husband Michael Voelker
