Ascent

 

While half of Los Angeles is headed to the desert this weekend we went the opposite way up to the mountains. My husband and I have been to our fair share of Coachella weekends when they first started and its just not something that interests us anymore. We love music and go to concerts year round but one night at the Hollywood Bowl or Greek Theatre is much more our speed than a whole weekend in the excessive heat surrounded by a hundred thousand people and no amenities. So we are at the Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite this weekend not in any protest, it just happened to coincide with the concert in the desert. I know what your thinking this is not a mountain appropriate outfit and no it is not I wore it last weekend in LA during out 80 degree heat spell. Here in Yosemite I will be in turtlenecks, leggings boots and scarves hiking in the freshly fallen snow and communing with nature (or hanging in the Jacuzzi with a bottle of wine) Whether you are rocking out in the desert or at home with your family I hope your weekend is fun packed and fashionable!
