I love playing around with proportions, lengths, volume etc in fashion. With this long bronze duster I knew I wanted to go with something shorter underneath and my favorite short item is shorts themselves. I found this chocolate brown leather pair (didn’t have this color yet) at Nordstrom and I immediately loved the vintage inspired cut and color. I didn’t feel that going full coverage with tights would the right look for this outfit so I opted for my brand new off-white knee high boots from Schutz. I vacillated for a very long time about purchasing these since I already have a pair of white boots (see here) but I convinced myself these were essential to my wardrobe, I love the western cut of them and the heel is a little bit higher than the other pair… and this is how I justify my purchases, a conversation for another time.
The sleeveless turtleneck is one of my favorite classic styles of all time, so it was no brainer for me to pick up this drapey, light knit version from LNA and it matches absolutely perfectly with the trench coat.
I am blown away by how quickly this week went by; on Wednesday my husband had to show me the calendar on his phone to prove to me that it wasn’t still Tuesday! And so here we are at Friday again. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy, have a great weekend!
