Cropped Trench Coat, Bermuda Shorts.

Summer style this season for me is all about balance of ease and structure, with Bermuda shorts leading the way. I am a tomboy at heart and these longer, tailored shorts offer a polished silhouette that nods to classic menswear while remaining effortlessly cool. I paired the shorts with a simple white tank and cropped trench coat which is such a perfect lightweight layer for the SoCal climate – ideal for cool summer nights. I love the twist on a classic style the cropped trench adds creating sharp lines that elevate casual summer staples. Side note: not sure what happened to my scarf but it looks haphazardly tied which is not how it started out, unexpected things happen when shooting on location.

Summer is all about being outdoors, exploring and doing a lot of walking – especially while traveling. To keep all my favorite walking shoes comfortable enough to withstand up to 20k steps per day I stock up on my secret weapon: supination insoles from Powerstep. Slipping these insoles into my sneakers or flats keep my feet from getting tired and help with any knee or lower back pain Im susceptible to after being on my feet too long! The also have oder control top layering and they seriously make any shoe exponentially more comfortable!

I know I have been MIA for longer than ever these past few weeks – the reason being my son graduated from high schools so needless to say there has been a lot of activity around here.
