Delivering Smiles With Amazon.

Every year, I try to start a new holiday tradition with my family – whether it’s wearing matching PJs while decorating the tree, seeing who can make up the best new lyrics for Christmas carols, or baking something sweet and festive. This year, we’ll start the tradition of making a special donation to our favorite charity, thanks to Amazon.

With so many charities and good causes out there to donate to, I found myself giving to anybody that would ask, which obviously was not good for my bank account. I finally decided that the prudent thing to do is commit to a cause that meant the most to me. I have always been a major animal lover so I now donate regularly to several different animal protection and shelter groups such as ASPCA, The Humane Society and Defenders of Wildlife.

With Amazon, it’s now easier than ever to donate and give back to your favorite causes with AmazonSmile, AmazonSmile Charity Lists and (my favorite) directly with the help of Alexa. I can easily make a donation just by saying “Alexa I want to make a donation” – she can even send a list of charities to choose from straight to your Alexa app!

My husband and I have also been donating to our local schools with AmazonSmile for several years now. Every time we make an Amazon purchase, a portion of the purchase price goes to the charity of your choice – in our case, it went to our son’s elementary school.
