We all know that French Girls have the best style, so when I was asked by Maison Jules to pay homage to the great city of Paris by finding little “pieces of Paris” in my hometown I immediately accepted the challenge! I refer to it as a “challenge” because Los Angeles couldn’t be any more different than the City of Lights in terms of geographic layout and lifestyle. To me life in Paris is about grabbing a café au lait or fresh roasted chestnuts wrapped in newspaper and walking along the Seine and pehaps popping into an art gallery or boutique. I am fortunate to be one of the few in LA that can walk to most amenities and don’t spend too much time in the car. This little section of the LA river has a very Euro feel to it and its right by the train station, reminding me a little of France! The vintage shopping in Paris is always epic, this coat definitely has a vintage feel to it as do many of the items in the Maison Jules fall collection…it has me dreaming of fresh baguettes and red wine, thank goodness it’s Friday! Have a great weekend mes cheres, xx Zia
ps this post has a whole different meaning after the tragic events in Paris one week ago, my heart breaks for this beautiful city and the citizens who were lost! #prayforparis
