I started this blog with the intention of showing my readers how to make the most of their existing wardrobe in an effort to reduce the pollution that fashion industry creates: Hunt for good quality pieces and own them for life ie. creating your own fashion collection. With this in mind I also gravitate toward brands that make an effort on their end to provide consumers with sustainable, planet friendly clothing. My friends at Past Life the Collective, based in Colorado, use dead stock fabrics or organic cotton to create their unique vintage inspired pieces. I love that they only have a few of each piece which gives you that individual look as opposed to being one of tens of thousands of people wearing the same piece (so embarrassing to run into someone wearing the same outfit as you right?) This super flattering little white blouse is made from dead stock fabric meaning its been discarded by other brands so theres a limited supply of it, this top is currently on sale and linked below. It does come in other fabrics, prints and colors but I love this classic off white especially paired with this gingham skirt and head scarf for that full European holiday look! Past Life recently dropped their latest collection for summer and I cant wait to style more of this conscious fashion brand!
So, I went to a bar last night to celebrate a friends birthday. It was super low key but felt so good to be out around others without a mask on. It was my first time in over a year that I went to an indoor bar (this place however did have a full wall open to the outdoors which made us feel extra safe) So grateful to be vaccinated and have almost all my friends (my son got his first one too) vaxxed and ready to go back to regular living!
Have a fabulous week my friends! xoxo ~Zia
