I just returned from a 10 day road trip that had me and my family driving up the coast from LA through California, Oregon, Washington and into my homeland Canada. It was both exhilarating and exhausting. We stopped off in San Francisco for a few days, spent the night in mid Oregon, had morning coffee in Portland, lunch in Seattle and caught the last ferry to Vancouver Island. My older brother lives in Victoria which is where we stayed for four nights celebrating Canada Day and enjoying a few days with family. This was my 5th time leaving the country since the beginning of the year along with several other local trips and I am happy to not have any travel plans in the near future. Enjoying the rest of the summer at home sounds like bliss to me right now and having access to all my summer outfits is definitely part of it. I have mentioned before that I am quite sun sensitive so this extra large straw sun hat helps keep the damaging rays off my face and shoulders…in fact it’s so big it shades my whole body! Summer usually means exposing more skin but if you’re not into exposing too much than a breezy midi skirt is the way to go. I feel like I could probably wear this ankle grazing print skirt in the cooler months as well with a jacket and ankle boots…Im always thinking about the next season and why not? Its my trick to not over-shopping, knowing I have pieces to wear in the future.
Thanks for popping in, I plan to be more consistent now that I am home for awhile! xo ~Zia
