The second I saw these parachute pants I knew they had to be mine! They conjured up images of outfits my cool older cousins or big sisters of friends would wear when I was in elementary school and I longed to have my own. Flash forward 30 or so years and I finally have this elevated version of what I remember needing in my wardrobe as a child. I love the high waist and black denim but mostly the ankle tie detail of these epic pants I will be wearing forever! I say that because even when I’m over the parachute pant effect I can remove the ankle ties and just cuff them up using the snap. I got the denim as well as the much more feminine tie neck blouse at Shopbop and they just happen to have a mega sale starting tomorrow (9/29/20) with items up to 70% off, sales are my favorite time to shop. I wanted to talk about this blouse a little more…its from designer Amanda Uprichard and I’ve come to to notice that I’m a huge fan as I’ve accumulated several of her pieces lately. Her pieces are all very sleek & minimalistic but feminine without being too girly, definitely one my new favorites.
It’s been another week of craziness from the wildfires that continue to burn in California to the loss of Ruth Bader Ginsburg both which mean we have a lot to think about with the election coming up very soon. I hope my US readers that are 18+ are registered to vote and are keeping up on everything going on so you make the most educated decision when voting. Hope you are all rested up from the weekend and are ready to take on the week ahead!
Thanks for reading, xo ~Zia
