I try to hang on to as much of my clothing as I can because I know one day it will once again be on trend! There are a few pieces that have slipped through my clutches during moves back and forth to Canada and every once in a while I find a piece that is identical to something I once owned. In my senior year of high school I had a pink leather (real leather unfortunately) skirt that looked exactly like the one in these photos. I also had a matching bustier as was the look back then. I am not one to gravitate toward the color pink but when I saw this skirt at Zara I couldn’t help myself! Incorporating a few edgier items like these cut out heels and black duster certainly takes away the sweetness the pink could have possibly brought to this look. It was also the perfect canvas to showcase my vintage Chanel pin that a wonderful friend found for me at an estate sale. I hope you all had a great weekend, we had a bit of rain here giving us a little taste of fall which always reminds me of home. Fall temps and my pink leather skirt will have me reminiscing about my high school days to take my mind off the fact that its Monday! xo Zia
