Due to the fact that I do save my clothes and sometimes my shoes for years and years its very important that I have a great tailor and shoe cobbler on hand. We are extremely lucky to have a plethora of choices here in Burbank, my theory being that we live near many film studios so there is a great need for this type of thing… there’s actually a proper haberdashery in my neighborhood but have yet had the need to go in! I find shoes don’t usually stand up well to changing styles but these inexpensive, however well made, Aldo gladiators were purchased before my son was born (eight years ago) I think the style is totally relevant and simply took them to my local cobbler for a new rubber sole and voila good as new! These shorts were purchased at a thrift store and were too big in the waist, I took them to my favorite tailor for a little pinch in the waist for under $10! I used to have a tailor that would love it when I brought him fabrics to make bespoke pieces, he loved the challenge, but he closed down years ago. If you don’t have someone I recommend going on Yelp! to find a trusted seamstress or shoe repair person to preserve all your well loved and precious clothing and shoes! thanks for visiting, xoxo Zia
