Ruffled Khaki Skirt, Square Neck Top.

Happy September 1st! Where did the summer go? Time is flying by so fast while we’re in quarantine but I honestly don’t mind one bit, the sooner we get through this the better. We are now officially (according to me anyway) in the summer/fall transition zone which means I start incorporating fall pieces into my summer wardrobe while I await the heat to subside (were heading into 100 degree temps again this weekend) This ruffled khaki skirt is a perfect transitional piece as it can easily be worn with sandals or with chunky boots, I will definitely be seen stomping around town in this skirt, my new combat boots (see here) and a warm knit when the weather allows it. Square neck tops are an emerging trend right now and although this top was designed that way I prefered to let it fall off the shoulder for a more feminine feel to offset the edgier skirt, I’m all about you doing you, or me doing me, when it comes to fashion regardless of what the trends dictate.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how the rest of the year, with all the holidays, plays out. Are we going to have a Halloween? Will families risk getting sick to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas together? I hope every day that we are getting closer to a vaccine! How do you feel about vaccines? Will you get one when they’re available? I’m a believer in taking necessary vaccines but that’s a whole other conversation for another time but please feel free to weigh in on your thoughts, I love a good debate!
