Rust Shorts Set: Venice Sightseeing Style.

I wore this rust shorts set on the last day of my European Summer vacation in Venice. Its a linen set so it was perfect for the weather and everywhere I turned I wanted to shoot so Im glad I was wearing something cute – and yes my husband was getting irritated but I think it was well worth it for the shots (and memories) We had planned to go to go to the island of Murano after heading to the hotel to take a nap and get cleaned up after strolling around in the heat/humidity. But after consulting with the concierge he talked us out of it saying at that time of day it was too far to go – we instead decided we would go off the beaten path to see what we could find. We stumbled upon this intersection of canals with cafes lining it, and found it so charming. I of course had to get some photos and we also stopped for a glass of wine. Im always reluctant to share places that are still under the radar but I also don’t want to be a gatekeeper – so if you happen to be in Venice find “Ponte Dei Carmini” its absolutely lovely, not crowded and you can also find a gondola ride there without a wait and likely much cheaper than if you do it closer to the Grand Canal.
