Classic pieces like a white button down shirt dress will never go out of style and can essentially be worn anywhere from the beach to brunch to the boardroom (love a good alliteration). This piece from Storets is a little bit cinched at the waist so its not boxy and has extra long french cuffs which I wore down so they would peek out from under the blazer sleeves. I know a lot of people aren’t doing much clothes shopping right now because of the uncertainty of the economy and not knowing when we will be allowed to live life normally again but if you just cant help yourself you can’t go wrong buying a classic piece that will look chic no matter how you wear it. For those of you who may be new to my blog I started it with the philosophy of buying good quality or classic pieces (or both) so that you are building a strong foundation for a wardrobe that only needs tweaking each season with trendier pieces. These Gucci sunglasses are at least 15 years old but I felt that they were ready to come out again. I just pulled out another pair of Gucci sunglasses that I have from the 90s that are the original version of the new spring line and shot them yesterday for an upcoming post. That being said in the long run it pays to buy better quality items that you know you can put away and wear again when the cycle comes back around, which we know it eventually will.
Are all the days bleeding into one for you or does today actually feel like a Friday? I’m still working quite a bit so I’m trying to maintain some semblance of a regular schedule but I do wake up every morning wondering what day it is.
Wishing you a happy, safe weekend anyways!
