STRIPED POWER SUIT

New York is one of those cities you just have to love, you may not want to live there but visiting is always so much fun! The energy, the food, the people and all those endless buildings are so exciting. My whirlwind trip to NYC for fashion week gave me a little taste of all of it and I even fit in a Broadway show (If you get a chance I highly recommend catching Moulin Rouge if you find yourself in New York) This little striped power suit from Trina Turk was the perfect ensemble for running around to shows and meetings during fashion week. I wore it with a very sheer bodysuit to compliment the lace trim on the skirt but if you work in a more conservative environment a blouse or turtleneck would work so well with it. It’s still pretty warm here in LA, although NY was a bit cooler, so I chose to wear this look with a pair of square toe ankle boots (so 90’s)  but as the temps drop I look forward to pairing some knee high boots with this look and of course splitting up the suit and wearing the blazer with some jeans. The skirt will look super cute with tights and a big sweater and completely lose its corporate office feel, I love all the options you have with fall fashion, don’t you?
