Everyday that we wake up healthy and alive is a reason to celebrate, therefore a reason to wear tulle, but since today is my wedding anniversary I have an extra special reason to do both! This tulle skirt certainly isn’t new but it has not been worn nearly enough. It’s not something I would typically wear in spite of it’s Sex & the City vibe so I had to add some edgy pieces to make it work for me. I styled it last fall with a colorful sweater (see here) and chunky boots and for summer I loved the way it looked with this painterly puff sleeve top and sneaker style wedges. Comfortable footwear has been an essential for me during quarantine, it’s going to be really tough to go back to wearing heels again when this is over. I’ve actually been noticing a lot of similarities in the changes I made during my pregnancy and Covid: I never wore makeup because my sense of smell was so strong it made me nauseous. I never colored my hair and I wore flip flops almost the whole time since my feet were swollen, it was good to give my body break from all the restraints of being a slave to fashion and this pandemic has forced me into once again.
I’m keeping it a bit short today because I am off to enjoy an anniversary dinner with both my boys, thanks for popping in…please come back Wednesday I will finally be posting about my recent super fun getaway to Lake Tahoe.
