A 90’s inspired Coach bag, tie dye denim shorts and a white button down are all pieces that I will be reaching for over and over all summer and for years to come. I maintain purchasing classic pieces are a fashion investment as you will wear them forever. Since the Covid lockdown started I have only been wearing cross body bags to keep my hands free and avoid having to put my bag down on public surfaces. This leather and signature canvas bag from Coach fits all the essentials for trips to the grocery store or for picking up takeout. Its also small enough so that it doesn’t get in the way so you never have to touch it making it one less thing to wipe down with anti-bac when you get home.
Denim shorts are something I wear all summer long with band tees, off shoulder tops, with crop tops and a duster, the possibilities are endless and the comfort is undeniable. I love this pair from Hudson jeans that hit two big trends for 2020: bermuda length and tie dye. It’s a nice change from the basic blue and I know I don’t need to mention how much I’m loving this trend right now do I?
For me the hardest part of the shelter in place orders has been not being able to travel. I can’t go home to Canada this summer which has become a yearly trip for my son and I and now the EU has announced that their borders are closed to US travelers due to our upswing in cases. I find it incredibly frustrating that people are still defying the orders and not wearing maks and all that they are doing is prolonging the restrictions we have to live with. I hope you are all staying safe and doing everything you can to stop the spread.
