I don’t have a lot of holiday traditions that I adhere to, but I do love decorating my home with warm glowing lights, throwing cocktail parties for all my friends, and of course the pleasure of gift giving. Gifts don’t always have to be a new toy or pricey handbag; a gift can come in the form of fresh baked cookies and a handwritten note or poem.
The holidays are a time of year for expressing love and gratitude to friends and family through handwritten cards. I am personally not a fan of the trend of sending family photo postcards with a generic message. There is obviously no personal sentiment there and to me, it can feel like an extension of a social media post. A beautiful card from PAPYRUS® Greeting Cards, my favorite greeting card company, with a personalized and heartfelt note goes so far in the hearts of your loved ones. I know how it makes me feel when I receive one; I typically keep those ones in a box and go back to them year after year.
I also like to express my creativity with exquisitely wrapped gifts. Papyrus ® cards and gift wrapping, which can be found at your local Pavilions, are unsurpassed for their beauty and uniqueness; the attention to the details in every piece is so apparent.
I love when a gift is so beautifully wrapped that the person it’s for may never want to open it. Papyrus® has such fun gift wrap with so many different prints to choose from that you will easily find one that suits everyone you are shopping for and the fact that they are conveniently available at Pavilions makes it all they easier to create that perfectly put together gift.
They have elegant little wine bags, beautiful bows, and all of the accoutrements you will need to have the prettiest packages in town. I have to be careful to keep the ribbon away from my curious kitty who loves the holidays because it gives him so much to play with.
I hope you are as excited about the upcoming holidays as I am; it seems like it’s still so far away, but we all know how quickly time goes around this time of year—so I like to get started as early as I can! Happy (early) holidays, xo ~Zia
