Beige Baggy Trousers, Strapless Button Down.

Taking a break from festive style and returning to classics like these beige baggy trousers and black trench coat. I love that these pants can be worn year round, with a light colored top ie. white it will have a distinctly summery feel. This time of year I will wear a matching chunky knit with these comfy flowing pants for a gorgeous casual. I threw on this strapless black button down top which would also look great with a white shirt or sheer turtleneck like this one layered underneath for a cozier or office appropriate look. The top and pants are from online retail store Commense. I discovered them earlier this year and am a big fan of their understated on trend pieces. Yes they fall under the fast fashion umbrella which I do try to avoid but Commense does have a commitment to sustainability by using environmentally friendly packaging and by designing classic styles that will be worn indefinitely and their fabrics do feel high quality.

I had an insanely busy week last week with events, photo shoots and hosting a holiday cocktail party at our home. This week is markedly quieter and I am very excited about slowing things down before the big day on which we will also be hosting friends and family for christmas dinner – oh did I mention that we also adopted a new kitten?
