I shot this look before I went away for the holidays, I know Ive fallen behind a bit – wearing a black pleated mini when you’re over the age of 25 may be frowned upon in some circles, but you know I don’t believe in fashion rules. I think to make it work you have to keep the rest of the outfit classic and demure (is it ok to still use that word?) I initially tried the look without tights and felt the tights are really what makes it work along with the longer proportions of the trench coat giving me coverage should I have to bend down, that being said don’t be afraid to play aournd with trends because of ageist fashion rules.
I’m hoping this is the week I return to creating content, in respect of the fire devastation here in Los Angeles I have been avoiding posting fashion content. And quite frankly I’ve been so busy helping with donation centers, driving care packages to those directly affected by the fires and fostering a puppy which has been keeping me from getting my regular amount of sleep that I haven’t even had time to think about anything style related!
Wishing you all a very Happy Martin Luther King Day thanks for visiting xoxo ~Zia
