As mentally distressing as it is to see those numbers go up each year, birthday weekends like I just experienced make me appreciate all that I have. We started the weekend out with dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant and watched several episode of House of Cards. Saturday my husband took me to AOC for one of the best meals we have ever had and Sunday I was scrubbed rubbed and pampered at my favorite Korean spa. I woke up this morning feeling so happy and relaxed and completely ready to get this next year of my life going!

I’m not one to concern myself too much with the “color of the year” thing but this year with the color being such a classic I’m finding that I already have several items in the color and this skirt I snatched up at Nordstrom’s last sale (it’s no longer available but I did find one on the F21 website that’s a real steal) I have a lot of really cool things happening on the blog this week so please check back soon! xx Zia
