There is nothing more quintessentially French than a beret except perhaps a beret and a baguette together! My photog Max and I stopped for a mandatory coffee on our way to shoot this look at my local coffee shop The Commissary (best coffee in town). I was having a dinner party that night and needed some bread they happened to have some fresh baked baguettes available so of course I grabbed one when the jokes began and the bread ended up as a very appropriate prop! I picked up this crop top at the Zara sale and decided I couldn’t wait until summer to wear it so I layered it over my favorite Equipment silk blouse, (more French stuff) I love that berets are back on the fashion radar because I have a whole collection of them somewhere deep in my archives and who doesn’t love looking like a perfectly chic French girl?
