When I was a kid my mom frequently wore suits to her job as an accountant with a local oil & gas company. Sometimes she wore a pantsuit more often they were skirt suits they were never, however, vibrant fuschia. I secretly loved those suits and vowed I would wear them all the time when I grew up and fortunately for me skirt suits were big in the 90’s and have made a bigger comeback as pantsuits today. I have somehow been very drawn to shades of pink lately, if you follow my Instagram I’m sure you’ve noticed so when I saw this fabulous hot pink suit I was hooked. I know it’s been mentioned before but even when suits as a whole are no longer on trend you can always split up the pieces and wear the pants and blazer independently getting so much more for your hard earned money.
Last month I challenged myself to completing a five day fast and with the help of my family cooking for themselves and not taunting me with pizza I succeeded! It was a Prolon Fast Mimicking Diet which does allow you to eat scientifically formulated and portioned meals that tricks your body into going into fasting mode. The meals include olives, nut bars, soups and kale crackers so it’s very doable. When your body is in fasting mode it rids your body of aging and damaged cells and regenerates the good ones, it improves your metabolism and you lose weight. I lost a solid 5 pounds in 5 days and it was not water weight, there’s a lot of hydrating during the fast. It’s recommended that you do it a few times a year and I think I will give it another go after summer. I highly recommend doing this fast if you’re looking to reset or recalibrate your system, it helps wean off of sweets and shrinks your stomach too so can continue eating well long after you’re done.
