Often times the hardest part of my day is getting dressed in the morning (although it’s usually making lunches and getting my little guy to school in the morning) there are those days when I have no inspiration, nothing looks good or feels good. Years ago I started using the same approach to getting dressed as I do to creating a character for an audition or role and that is: start with the shoes! I start with the shoes and make my way up. I truly believe shoes can make or break an outfit and certainly effects how you walk, stand and ultimately feel. In todays outfit it was all about feeling stable in low heeled ankle boots, they are not prohibitive in what I am able to accomplish in a day and that’s a good thing when there is soooo much to do!

Love the short sleeve trench! Definitely a really cool spin on the traditional trench. I love the booties here too. The color palette is fantastic.
