I think we are all aware that life as we know it changes when you become a parent, you are no longer the most important person in your life…sleeping & eating becomes secondary, relaxing on vacation isn’t so easy any more, and of course your partying days are numbered unless you have a nanny to cover you! The last few years we have spent our NYE with other close friends with little ones which means an early dinner then hanging out at someone’s home. A night like this is great fun but doesn’t require a super fancy outfit so I usually end up using existing pieces from my wardrobe to get dressed. A black button down is perfect for dinner with children but looks sophisticated enough for a celebration, I dressed mine up with a statement necklace and a very sparkly skirt from last year.
