When I was in elementary school my best friend had an older sister who I worshipped. Her name was Linda: she was about four years older, she had a boyfriend and she was totally punk rock! My admiration for her style bordered on obsessive. I however was far too young to wear anything she did although I did try to emulate her as much as fifth grader possibly could. I remember lamenting about how unfair it was that fashion was so good then and I was just born too late! Flash forward a few years when Madonna comes on the scene with her irreverent street style with the wedding dresses, elbow deep bangles and bras as tops. Madonna made me forget about Linda in a great hurry but alas with my youth and conservative parents there was no way I was leaving the house in lingerie (except on Halloween when I did my best “Lucky Star”) Well now I’m a grown woman, I can wear whatever I please and when I received a package from Vedette Shapewear I found their pieces so beautiful and flattering that I couldn’t possibly keep it hidden underneath. What I particularly LOVE about this bodysuit is it keeps everything in place, I had a huge dinner wearing one and didn’t feel self conscious about busting out. I have been wearing underwear as outerwear since my rocker chick days, it’s nothing new and Madonna fortunately paved the way for us lace and eyelet loving girls! I’m heading up to the mountains for the weekend so I will be back in my cozy knits and coats but I may just keep one of my bodysuits underneath, have a beautiful weekend! xo Zia

Oh this ensemble is so elegant but sexy! Your bodysuit oozes sex appeal especially paired with the high split lightweight maxi skirt. The blazer adds a nice touch of subtlety for a mature but classy statement.
