Don’t get me wrong I like trends as much as the next fashion addict, but some should just NEVER happen…like last summer’s wedge sneaker: how many of those are occupying space in the land fills now? For me the latest trend that is just unnecessary is the Birkenstock as fashion, I don’t feel the need to look like my neo-hippie internist that smells of garlic and patchouli oil. I didn’t wear them in the 90’s and I’m definitely not jumping on board now. There are just too many beautiful shoes out there to waste an outfit on Birks. That’s my rant for the day and in defiance of bad trends I am wearing a classic crisp white shirt over a floral dress and timeless pumps! One more day until the long weekend, Yay!!!

Lovely dress! I really like the pattern. Most of all though, I love these bright and beautiful shoes!

Lovely outfit, I love the floral pattern of your dress.
I definitely agree with you on the wedge sneaker. They were just terrible. Although I didn’t like the Birkenstock sandal at first (I mean they are really ugly) they don’t look half bad on though. I tried a lookalike pair at Target and I was surprised when I didn’t hate the way they looked when I wore them. But I didn’t buy them though, the Birkenstock to me seems too much like a fad, yeah their super popular now but in a few months everyone is just going to be sick of them.

Hey Danie thanks for your comments ~ one can only hope the Birk is just another fleeting fad! 🙂 Z
