Red Faux Leather, Bouclé & Bows.

We had some really lovely weather this weekend which has me longing for spring, I’m counting down the weeks (four to go) until daylight savings starts! Faux leather is usually a winter staple for me but these red faux leather pants have more a spring feel and I know I will be wearing them every chance I get before it gets hot again. I love how they give this classic bouclé coat from Cabi and the bow tie sweater a little bit of a rock chic vibe. When I go with my basic everyday uniform of band tee, combat boots and a denim jacket these pants will make it look like I actually tried for the rocker feel and wasn’t just on a car pool run! Ha ha mom life right?!

Although I don’t feel that there are many great films made anymore in an era where studios seemingly only care about profits I do still enjoy the pageantry of the Oscars.  As an actor it has always been a dream of mine to win one so I live vicariously through the actors who do. I had a little academy awards/dinner party last night with friends and although nobody likes to admit they are interested we did enjoy watching the ceremony particularly when Korean film Parasite won best picture! I can only hope that this win will be a push to produce more interesting and diverse films and much less of the Marvel/DC superhero genre which we are saturated with.  I was also thrilled with Joaquin Phoenix’ win although I didn’t enjoy the film Joker, I did think his performance was incredible and I appreciate his message about unity and compassion not only for each other but for animals too.
