Shrugs were definitely a big deal in the early Aughts. I specifically remember wearing a short sleeved sequin one over a striped dress to my friends summer wedding. I love that this one, with thumb holes, is actually quite utilitarian. It can be worn without really being seen under a blazer or jacket if you want to stay warm but still expose what’s underneath – like a camisole or graphic tee. I will also be wearing this to my Pilates class to stay cozy until the burn begins. I have definitely been going through a dark phase lately and it could be reflective of the fact that 90s and aughts fashion is big and all I wore in the 90s was black. I do have some colorful looks coming soon – I swear!
I found these vegan leather pants in my closet last month and realized I have never worn them, they still had a tag attached. I’m still a little shook that I completely forgot about such a great pair of pants, it’s kind of like finding cash in your pocket you forgot about. They are super soft and have a great drape, since they are from last year I couldn’t link the exact pair but I found something similar.
Boy am I glad this week is over – it’s been a rough one. I feel like Im finally coming out of the fog and will hopefully be back to my regular self next week! My weekend plans are pretty mellow, just dinner with friends and a lot of Netflix, I also promised to treat myself to a massage! Have the best weekend lovelies
