I have always been a sucker for the nautical look, that whole crisp white, stripes, navy & gold buttons thing really appeals to me. When I happened upon these navy shorts at Banana Republic I didn’t think twice about grabbing them. There’s also a matching blazer but I felt it would be overkill to wear both, I don’t actually want to look like a sailor just perhaps indicate that I enjoy the sea. You know how I love stripes but I also felt stripes would be to much like a uniform so went to the other side of the spectrum and paired these classic shorts with an silk ethnic print halter top. I love being able to look appropriate for a meeting with a client and then seamlessly go out for dinner and with this outfit I can do that with a cardigan or blazer on top. I will also wear this halter with a pair of distressed jeans or maxi skirt this summer a give it a whole different boho feel, this is why I love separates the possibilities are endless! Well I’m super excited about the week ahead I have a really special post coming up and with summer in full swing bring on the revolving door of house guests, beach days and outdoor dinners! It gives me something to look forward to on a dreary Monday…have a great week & thank you so much for dropping by, xoxox Zia
