Southern California definitely has a very relaxed approach to dressing. Casual attire works for just about any occasion, so I pretty much feel overdressed everywhere I go! Finding ways to make “fancy” pieces work in such a laid back culture isn’t always easy, throwing on some denim usually works and in the case of this slip dress layering it with a T-shirt underneath makes it appropriate for a coffee run or dinner with my family. This 90’s trend which I wore religiously the first time around, made a comeback last year but still seems to be holding strong. If you do happen to have an occasion to wear something a little more dressy than this slip dress with nothing underneath is perfect and then when you’re over the trend you can always repurpose your slip dress as a night gown, I love versatility!
