My apologies in getting my Fourth of July post up so late but I spent the long weekend having such an amazing time with my family on Coronado Island in San Diego; With all the food, wine, beautiful beaches and relaxing with my boys I could not bring myself to crack my laptop open! As you may know I am not American although I have been living here almost my entire adult life: first as a student, then entertainer now as a the wife of an American…I do plan on getting my citizenship soon mostly so I can vote as I have become quite politically opinionated in my time here. I have also recently gotten very involved in my community, just last week I stood up in front of city council to air my grievances about speed limits around my son’s school! So here I am in my red, white and blue just before celebrating my adopted home’s Independence with traditional BBQ fare (no chicken or ribs for me) and a phenomenal fireworks display in San Diego Bay! I hope you all had a great weekend no matter where you are visiting from!
