I’ve had my eye on these striped sweats for a couple of months now. They seemed a bit pricey for a pair of sweatpants but I finally pulled the trigger and I have to say I am in love! They are actually made from a sweater knit material and not typical sweat pant fabric so they are worth the cost (in my opinion) I love how comfortable they are but are so cute that they can be dressed up for almost any occasion. The way I styled them here would be perfect for the office or a lunch date. After this shoot I kept them on but switched out the top for a white tee and threw on my favorite combat boots for a Mexican dinner with my boys.
This elbow sleeve top in my favorite shade of green immediately reminded me of something my mom had when I was a kid and this classic vintage St John knit cardigan has been on loan from my mom for a few years now. I know she would never wear these sweats but the top half is all her! Ive been trying to mix some of my older pieces into my wardrobe more these days and a classic navy with gold buttons is always a good idea.
So it is now officially spring and my son and I spent the weekend getting ready by planting tomato plants in our garden and staining our teak patio furniture. I bought a new outdoor rug and will be adding some colorful new throw pillows to give everything a fresh look. I will be posting pix as soon as its all together. Hope you had a lovely first weekend of spring and are feeling as hopeful about the near future as I am! xoxo ~Zia
