When I first found out I was pregnant nine years ago it didn’t occur to neither me nor my husband that we were having anything but a girl. I envisioned the fun I would have dressing her, handing my well cared for vintage pieces down to her, all of that…then alas at five months we were told that it was unmistakably a boy. It took me the next four months to wrap my head around what I was going to do with a baby boy, I genuinely was flummoxed! It’s not that I so desperately wanted a girl, I just always pictured myself being the mother of a girl. You ultimately accept what is dealt to you and quite honestly I couldn’t be happier. Boys these days are just as fun to dress as girls are (my boy inherited a love for fashion by the way) I happened upon a clothing line out of England called Mini Boden when Hunter was about three & I was ecstatic: this line of kids clothes was unique, bold & fun! With its stripes, camo prints and animal appliques it encourages my son to want to pick out his own outfits. Hunter loves going through the catalogues and dog-earing the pages of things he loves (its usually something with a dinosaur or shark) I recently discovered that Boden also has a women’s line that is equally as fun and unique as the kids. This handbag for example has a classic shape but the bright colored trim and tassel gives it something completely uncommon! This is the case with most of their pieces: Classics with a twist! The website & colorful catalogues are packed with well priced clothing and accessories that have that “wear it forever” timeless appeal which is something that I am always looking for.  I highly recommend checking out both lines whether you’re a mom or not!
