Loose, breezy layers over a pair of wide leg linen pants sound like the perfect combination for a tropical getaway – and perhaps that’s where my mind was going when I put this look together. I’m not going anywhere balmy in the immediate future and it’s still not quite crop top weather here but that’s what the layers are for right? I kept the shirt open here but it looks just as good and does not expose as much when I tie it at the waist or just button it up and do a half tuck and both can be done with or without the blazer. Easy adjustments for different environments. These billowy pants are from the latest cabi collection, I remember hearing a collective gasp in the audience when these beauties came out on the runway at the fashion show in January. I immediately knew I needed a pair and they will definitely be a part of my wardrobe for years to come.
My favorite day of the year is coming up Sunday and no I’m not talking about the Oscars (although I do have some fun events going on this weekend) Im talking about daylight savings which means longer days – and it used to mean warmer weather but the “atmospheric rivers” are upon us again and it’s pouring rain off and on for the next week. I know I’m borderline whining about the weather but LA is really no fun if the sun’s not shining!
