I love telling stories about my clothes, assuming they have one. I think this is why I love vintage and/or shopping while traveling because it automatically comes with a good story, this vintage suede skirt has the benefit of having both good story telling qualities as it was bought at a flea market in Le Marais in Paris this spring. It was one of my favorite days during our Paris stay, we walked all way from the 7th arrondissement to Le Marais on Mothers Day so I could do a little shopping. The day started out bright and sunny but suddenly it started pouring which forced us into a canopy covered cafe patio and led to a very, very long lunch. I recall having the best of many goat cheese salads and a few Americanos (not the coffee kind) After the sky cleared we walked into the biggest flea market which lined the charming streets and wished we a had a barge to send home all the cool vintage stuff we found, I settled for this amazing suede wrap skirt that Ive been waiting so long to wear and finally its weather appropriate! Brown isn’t always the easiest color to match with other pieces without looking dowdy so I went with bold rich shades of red and yellow and gold accents, I absolutely love the color combo!
