Back to School

Going back to school was always a tornado of mixed of feelings for me as a child. Having to wake up early and walk to the bus again every morning, not being able to watch my favorite soaps all day and then stay up late was definitely the negative. Seeing all my friends again, the excitement of learning new things with new teachers and most importantly all the new back to school clothes were the part I liked best! I can’t say my 9 year old son gets as excited about the clothes as I did/do but he was thrilled about going back to school again. I don’t put a massive effort into looking good when I drop my boy off at school but I do like to look like I have some semblance of fashion sense so basics and layers for cooler mornings work best for both of us. I love the idea of being able to do all my shopping in one place and when I was given the opportunity to do my Back to School shopping at Outlets at Orange I was super excited. I checked out the website before heading down to give myself an outline of where I wanted to shop since outlets have so many options it can get overwhelming. I grabbed myself some lunch and a map of the mall and worked out my plan hitting H&M, Old Navy & Nordstrom Rack to name a few. Its funny to see how much my back to school choices now reflect what I wore when I was a kid: stripes or plaid top, skinny jeans and a hoodie…fashion really is cyclical and it pays to shop well, you never know when a trend will return… I’m just glad were not rocking those 80’s hairdos anymore ! xo ~Zia
