When my (now) husband and I first started dating I made it clear to him that I’m not a fan of Valentine’s day. The long stemmed roses & heart shaped candy boxes don’t do it for me, and there is nothing less romantic than going for dinner on V-Day: massive crowds, rows of two-top tables crammed together and a time limit? NO thank-you! I am not a sappy and sentimental person by nature, I was never the girl who wanted the huge extravagant wedding; we got married on the beach with 15 of our closest friends and family and have a very un-romantic engagement story (but I love it!!!) All that being said my love is on the other side of the world today and no amount of flowers, candy or lacy lingerie is needed to feel the love we have. No we’re not Sid and Nancy but we have what I like to call a “punk-rock love”…I hope you all feel love in some form every single day of the year, xoxoxoxox Zia
