Aside from the cropped beige vest, everything else in this outfit has been seen before. I’m definitely a lot less conscious about posting pieces I’ve worn before because that’s what we actually do and if you really love something why not? These baggy white pants have been a major workhorse in my wardrobe this summer (see here & here) . They’re a great base for any cute top and the fabric doesn’t really crease so I can pull them out of the closet in a pinch and not have to worry about having to steam them!
I’m loving the return of the vest as a top trend. I definitely rocked this look a lot in the 90’s then again in the mid aughts – I believe my girl crush Sienna Miller has us all wearing a vintage denim vest in the summer of 2005 or 2006. I definitely see the trend continuing this fall worn with layers either under or over … or both.
Today was back to school day and even though its 95 degrees out and only mid August Im feeling the draw of fall fashion. I’m not saying I’m going to be able to wear fall styles anytime soon but I’m going to start leaning into the “transitional” pieces like maybe a suede boot with a summer dress or a little vegan leather piece here and there.
