Blue Striped Shirt, Jean Shorts Aka Jorts.

The blue striped shirt seemed to be the top of the season and although I wore a couple other ones (see here & here) I didn’t get around to posting this one until today and now it’s on major sale! (linked below) I love the classic, effortless look of a button down shirt; they transcend seasons, they’re easy to layer and they also double as the perfect swimsuit cover up so this one is definitely coming to Hawaii with me next week.

So, I have to give credit to my sixteen year old son for getting me on board with the term “Jorts” the new word for denim shorts – it’s funny to me how denim shorts have been around for decades but Gen Z thinks they’re making it a new thing by giving them a new name. I have been “collecting” denim shorts since my teens, I actually still have a pair that once belonged to my brother in the form of Levi’s 501 jeans (see here) nothing new but definitely loved by me!

I’m getting very excited to leave town next week – it will be a quick trip but much needed after the insane month I have had. Hope your week is going well, Happy Hump Day ~ xoxo Zia
