Bucket hats and bermuda shorts are major style representatives of the summers of my childhood. Another example of how cyclical fashion is and all the more reason to hunt and collect so that when trends come back around you are fully prepared with your existing wardrobe. This orange bustier top is from last summer and I am not showing any signs of getting sick of it yet, it’s no longer available but I did link a great bodysuit that has a similar look. It’s amazing how this tomato reddish orange shade goes so well with so many things. These Levi’s shorts are such a perfect length and are high waisted so perfect for family BBQs if you know what I mean, I have been and will continue to wear them all summer. This reversible bucket hat was purchased last summer (seen here) when the trend peeked its head out but didn’t catch fire until this year so I’m happy to be getting a lot more use of it.
So my philosophy of hunting and collecting quality pieces for a lifelong wardrobe does really well with mega sales like the one Shopbop is currently having. Right now for loyalty customers (and starting tomorrow for newbies) through July 5th you get an extra 25% off sale items that are already up to 75% off click on the Shopbop ad to the right and use promo code SUMMER
I just realized today was Wednesday when my husband reminded me we were having friends over for (a social distancing of course) dinner tomorrow night. We had a beach adventure on Monday which clearly threw off my non-existent schedule. Not only is it already Wednesday it’s also July so I want to wish my Canadian readers a Happy Canada Day… hope you have a great holiday, missing my homeland more than ever these days!
