When I saw this Mara Hoffman buffalo plaid pant suit hanging in a display at the Galleries Lafayette in Paris I knew I did well when I packed this one from home. I love a matching set of any kind but pantsuits are my favorite because of their obvious style factor and the boss vibes they give off. This checked flannel suit worked well in the chilly Parisian fall weather but still topped it with my pearl detailed grey coat from Chico’s for a little extra warmth. With so much grey going on in this look I knew I had to add a bold pop of color and I’m still not over the neon trend so this neon yellow mock turtleneck was the perfect choice. This brightly hued top is very thin and works well as a layer under other sweaters or a camisole depending on how warm you need to be. Although I did not wear heels much while in Paris, way too much walking, this sturdy pair of pumps work well on the cobblestone sidewalks if you did need a little height, which for this look I did. This pair from Pour La Victoire are from a few years ago but I linked a very similar pair of chunky heeled pumps below.
This is my first of several posts from Paris I will be sharing with you, I hired an amazing local photographer that got this look as well as some incredible family photos which I will treasure forever. It’s well worth hiring a local professional if you’re interested in saving precious family travel memories. Please message me if you would like my photographers info Id be happy to share!
It’s always harder to get into the swing of things after having time off so I hope this week hasn’t been too painful, we’re halfway there!
Side Note: I had the first shot photoshopped with a blue sky because the skies actually were blue that day but did not translate into the photography
