I love the simplicity of this outfit that consists of very on-trend denim bermuda shorts, a bandeau top (Aka boobtube) and a classic blazer. This is an ensemble that you can frequently find me in because its so versatile. This easy look can take me from a business meeting (Zoom these days) to walking the dog, a day on the beach or even out for dinner depending on your choice of footwear and blazer on or off. I bought these black denim bermuda shorts last year and I’m so excited that they are a very hot item this summer so I’ll get another season of use out of them although I’ll likely continue to wear them because denim shorts are always stylish. I now have several of these simple bandeau tops in different colors, I love the 70s vibes they give off and they are easy summer layering pieces. I have this one is linked below and it is on sale for under $5, you’re welcome!
The big “news story” today has been about Juneteenth which is remarkable to me since this took place over 150 years ago. I heard about this day in history watching sitcom Blackish (which actually happens to be very informative about black culture and history) and until the recent protests brought this to light no one ever spoke of it. I am looking for a petition to sign to make this a national holiday not just for the black community but for all of us to acknowledge such a monumental change in the culture and mindset of this country, which still needs much more changing.
Always happy to have to stop by, hope you all have a lovely weekend! xo ~Zia
