Gotta love a beautiful, fiery red LA sunset. This is afterall the namesake for one of the most famous streets in this sprawling city, if not the world. This post is more about my love/hate relationship with Los Angeles, the place I’ve called home for over 20 years, then it is about fashion. Without fail whenever I return to LA from a trip on an airplane the comments from people (especially those who have never been here before) as we descend into this impressive city is always about how unbelievably massive it is. Being as spread out as it is, LA can be a very lonely city. You don’t often see people walking around the streets as most are alone driving in their cars which over time has caused a major disconnect in the community. One doesn’t just walk out their door to experience human contact here you have to seek it. The melancholy of the city, however, is masked by happy palm trees, “bright lights” and constant sunshine. Looking out on this city at sunset while standing on a helicopter landing pad on a luxury apartment building in downtown Los Angeles is a mesmerizing sight, it is a city of dreamers and this is ultimately why I call this place home!
Have a spectacular week my loves, xoxo ~Zia
