I’m a huge fan of the look of leather but as a long time veg (for compassion, not health) I tend to opt for faux leather whenever I can. I have had numerous pairs of faux leather, as well as vintage authentic leather pants, over the years in a variety of colors. I’ve had them in basic black, I have this red pair but never have I owned a pair of forest green faux leather pants and I am very much obsessed! Not only am I totally into this unusual color, I’m loving the extra high waist, the button fly detail and the baggy boyfriend cut as well. This shade of green is actually quite versatile but since it’s still pretty warm here I went with a burgundy zebra striped cami for color and tan cardigan for those chillier nights. I can’t wait to play around with all these pieces as the weather chills.
We had a super low key weekend; dinners in, catching up on shows (not watching much during the week now that my hubs is back at work) and yesterday we were treated to the most amazing brunch by the beach at The Pier House in Venice. I forgot how much I love brunching and this seafood focused restaurant right on the boardwalk did not disappoint. Most of their plates are small so you can eat tapas style; we ordered fried oysters, a crab topped bagel, ceviche, huevos rancheros and some french toast to sweeten things up. If you find yourself in the LA area I highly recommend this spot for great food and fun people watching. Let me know if you did anything fun/cool/interesting this weekend! I love to hear what others are getting up to during Covid. Happy Monday lovelies! xo ~Zia
