I had no idea I owned so many dots, so I figured since I have so many why not wear them all at once? The polkadot sweater and coat although from different collections are both from Cece by Cynthia Steffe so they were an obvious match and the Chicwish skirt in white dots and mustard was the perfect compliment. Print mixing is a fun way to make your look totally unique even if you are mixing different versions of the same print. Dots are usually fool proof since you’re usually only dealing with two colors and the trick to print mixing is matching colors in this look the throughline is the white.
I believe it was National Hat Day one day last week (I mean really who can keep up?) hats are certainly one of my favorite accessories so I’m very open to celebrating this one. This hat from Lack of Color has been my go -to hat since I purchased it earlier in the fall. I love that it travels well because its quite stiff and in this taupe shade it will work well across all seasons and protect my skin from unwanted sun damage.
Although it’s a holiday (and I got to sleep in) I am currently listening to a musical homage to MLK and Im still getting work done today as I have a very, very busy week ahead; lots of fun shows, parties and travel so please follow along in real time on Instagram. Hope you’re having a great long weekend!
