In honor of all the rain we’ve been getting in California the last three months I decided to dedicate a post to looking chic and staying dry when it’s pouring outside. I know a lot of Angelenos don’t own rain boots or trench coats – because we typically do not need them more than once or twice per year. This may just be our new normal and perhaps its time to invest in some rainy day pieces. I live in baseball or bucket hats when its raining, there’s just no point in spending a lot of time on your hair in this weather. Since we dont have very good irrigation systems in place here the streets fill up with water pretty fast and one typically finds themselves having to cross over deep water and that’s when having water resistant boots is a really good idea. I love a Chelsea boot or the classic Hunter boots in a fun color. Even when its not raining, a trench coat is a wardrobe staple and elevates any outfit. I have one in camel, pink and dark grey and wear them over and over, it’s a timeless style so definitely a good investment. When I carry an umbrella I like to pull them down to get as much coverage as possible and with a clear vinyl one like the one I have linked you can create your own little bubble and still see where you are going.
As much as I know we need this rain, Im hoping it ends soon Im so ready for spring.
In the meantime stay dry and stay chic!
xoxo ~Zia
