When I spotted this sheer black blouse at Zara a few weeks ago it immediately conjured up images of a clothing haul I had in the mid 90s – I think I just started a new restaurant job when I was living in Vancouver and was making more money than I ever had and went on a spending spree. Things are a little fuzzy but I seem to recall three blouses in that haul – one that was identical to the one in this post but cobalt blue, a multi colored ombre striped number but also sheer and I cannot recall the details of the third, but let’s assume it was also sheer. I love the look of a peekaboo bra under an otherwise classic style blouse like this button up, its sexy but not in an overt way. I feel like this era was also when vegan leather was first starting to make its way into daily fashion, I have always been a fan of the look of leather but because of my love for animals typically avoid the real deal.
I have mentioned this in the past but wanted to say it again for my new readers who may think Im a slacker for my less than regular posting – I work alone so everything I do from curating outfits, to editing photos and video, to writing all the words on my blog and linking items I do myself! No AI, no personal assistant, it can get overwhelming but I do my best to get at least two posts up per week. I know a lot of influencers only do social media but I got my start here and love the community I built so remain committed to keeping things alive here – I am so appreciative of those of you who still visit regularly!
