2020 was definitely a year when self care became incredibly important. Taking care of your mind, body, soul as well as skin and hair became a priority for many of us. I found myself experimenting with lots of new products and I have compiled this list of beauty essentials that I stand by and recommend based on my positive experiences with them. Feel free to hit me up with any questions you have about any of these products, I am more than happy to answer!

No 1: Versed Sunscreen
If you’re not yet familiar with Versed products make sure you check them out. They are probably one of the most effective and well priced product lines out there and this daily sunscreen is a favorite. It doesn’t leave that filmy feel on your skin it feels like a moisturizer and has a slight tint. Im a big fan of mineral sunscreens as they are super effective and healthier than chemical sunscreens.
No 2: Dr Zenovia Blemish Control
Dr Zenovia is a line of hormonal skin care products and I love this combo for that occasional breakout is nothing short of a miracle. After washing my face at night I swipe the Vitamin C Brightening Toner over my skin massage the Acne Spot Treatment on my blemish and by morning it will typically be completely gone. Ive even given it to my teenage so to put to the test and he agrees this is the best of all “zit zappers”
No. 3: RéVive
RéVive is one of my all time favorite luxury skin care brands and I can say with all honesty It’s 100% worth the high price tag. I was initially just a fan of this luxury line after attending an event with the founder, but I am thrilled to now be a RéVive ambassador. I am so privileged to be able to try out so many products from this beauty line and I have yet to try one I didn’t love. The eye cream and Retinol Dark Spot Corrector shown in the photo Use Code ZIA.DOMIC25 for a discount at checkout!
No. 4 Revitalash Mascara/Primer Duo
Since my lash extensions fell out last year at the beginning of Covid lockdown I started using Revitalash products to bring my lashes back to life. The daily growth serum took my lashes from stunted nubs to not just normal, but noticeably longer and lusher. The Double Ended Volume Set which is a mascara/primer duo are incredible for long flirty lashes and it doesn’t flake so I buy it in bulk.
No. 5: Olaplex Bond Smoother
My hair is incredibly fine and fragile from over processing and Ive found that using Olaplex products in my hair, particularly this leave in cream, a couple of times per week makes a huge difference in how much breakage I see. It also tames the flyaways and makes my hair look professionally blown out.
No. 6: St Tropez Self Tanner Face Mist
Ive always been wary of applying self tanner to my face for fear of streaks and obvious lines on the sides of your face. This self tanning mist specifically made for your face is brilliant! With just a few little spritzes of St Tropez Face Mist you end up with a perfect glow and no raccoon eyes or other discernible lines.
No. 7: Living Proof Dry Shampoo
Because my hair is so fine I find most dry shampoos actually weigh down my hair and make it look dirtier than when I started. Living Proof is the one dry shampoo I feel does what its supposed to do: extend your hairstyle between washing and give it volume. Love this stuff!
No. 8: ViVi Naturals Hair Serum
My hair has been a major focus for me since I took out my extensions at the beginning of last year I and was able to see the true extent of the damage my hair had incurred from years of over processing. Since the extensions came out I’ve been letting it grow out and giving it the break it needs with very infrequent color treatment and washing only a couple of times per week. Ive also been using hair growth serums and ViVi Naturals which has CBD has been amazing. I use the Root 66 for growth enhancement and the Scalp Elixir for to prevent any additional hair loss.
No. 9: Amlactin Alpha Hydroxy Lotion
I did a paid campaign for Amlactin Alpha Hydroxy Lotion last year and I’ve honestly been hooked on their products ever since. There is nothing I’d rather put on my hands with all this hand washing than Amlactin. I love that its not greasy, its super moisturizing and you skin just soaks it in. Also it contains lactic acid & Alpha Hydroxy so it also exfoliates dead skin cells, I love a two in one.
No. 10: Keratin Complex Color Care
I like to switch up my shampoo and conditioner every few months and I always come back to Keratin Complex. I feel like the combination of products really strengthens my hair without any build up and gives me the best of hair days with its smoothing quality.
